I purchased a brand new tub of Taylor of Old Bond Street "Shaving Shop" shaving cream today. Can anyone give me their take on it? scent, lather, etc..?

Moons ago, I purchased that same cream. I have not even tried it yet (too many products), though I expect it to perform as well as the other TOBS products. Truth be told, I find the scent not very inviting, to say the least.

According to TOBS - Shaving Shop is a revitalizing fresh citrus traces blend vigorously with the sophistication and ruggedness of precious cedar and oak woods. Add virile undertones of musks over a floor of Sage, Rosemary and Petitgrain for an alluring composition that stimulates the senses and excites the emotions.
The cream it'self works well, I have a tub, the scent is not overpowering if you get my drift.
Try the Avocado, it's worth the trip! :D

I received this tub today, and I have to say it is singlehandedly the worst, most nauseating scent I have ever smelled in a shaving cream or soap. This stuff is so bad, it instantly churned my stomach and gave me a headache. It smells like a mens locker room after the players have finished up after a hard fought football game that was played in mud, ran, sleet, and snow. This stuff is pure evil!! The funny thing is that TOBS St. James is my favorite scent of ANY shaving cream, and on a whim I purchased a tub of this without even sampling the scent. It is absolutely vial to the nose, and I can only imagine what the bathroom would smell like after I use it. I'm getting nauseous just thinking about this woeful scent!!! If there's anyone that likes this scent, it's on offer in the classifieds section.

Please, tell us how you really feel! :D

This just goes to show some scents just really don't mesh with us.. I guess that is why there are so many!

Yeah, it's a rather abnormal smell and actually got worse after a few months. I have to say I'm not too crazy about St. James either, which is weird because everybody seems to love it.

The only thing even remotely as offensive as TOBS "Shaving Shop" is Pinaud "Lilac Vegatal". Both of these scents are absolutely repulsive!!!
