I am about to embark upon a night of good friends, good food, and horrible beer. Ahhh... The Philippines. Well, the first two +'s outweigh the last -. Putting a bottle of water and a couple of Advil's on the bedside table. And off I go.....::

update: had a great night of 8ish san miguel lights (yes, the best they have to offer), nearly a half pound of liempo (think big juicy thick barbecued bacon drizzled in lime juice and soy) and no hangover the next day due to said water and advil!

Rattray’s Old Gowrie in my Peterson Churchwarden

I was quite curious to try this one as it was the most pleasant to my nose. I’m quite a neophyte but I believe this Virginia will be in my rotation for a while. I absolutely loved everything about it. Not pervasive yet full-bodied, mild yet not cloying, and other epithets I’m not sure make sense in English.

Rattray’s Charles Mixture

A strong aromatic flavour, with vanilla and rhum, emanated from the pouch and I was curious to see how it would translate once burned.

:sick007

I wonder if I can save it by mixing it with something else.
