I guess I'm maybe being a bit pedantic here, but I'm thinking that the way he stores his strops there could be some paste cross-contamination onto his larger strop? Certainly didn't wipe off the green (chrome oxide) paste from his razor before hitting the leather one.

And just for discussion - do you guys flip your razor by rolling it in your fingers (like he demonstrated) or do you turn your wrist (like he actually did on the strop)?

Hey I stroped on an old leather belt.

I was lucky! an old barber gave me his first strop when I started shaving!
I'm not certain but I think it was the cinch belt to an old saddle. Use it to this day!

Come to think of it, I'm kind of ugly myself:rolleyes:
