Sometimes, you have to let the child within take control.

Three yummy slices of bread, three deadly combos:
Non fat-free chocolate spread + non sugar-free rhubarb jam
Non fat-free chocolate spread + non sugar-free orange marmalade
Non fat-free chocolate spread + non sugar-free Morello cherry jam

And a nice mug of Moka Harrar that I’m savouring while typing this. Life is good.

My Gosh.......you make every picture into something that i could hang on a wall
Thank you. Until three months ago, before going on a hiatus, I was regularly posting SOTD pics. It’s hard to be creative every day, and I’m not always, but practising is the key. You can take a peek at my gallery here (http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=350&page=1&sort=dd). Some pics were even taken with my cellphone.

There’s indeed a lot of practice involved. Photoshop (or LightZone, DxO, etc.) is a digital darkroom. Post-processing literally represents 50% of a photograph, be it film or digital. If you’re willing to spend time learning photography, I can point out some good tutorials and how-to.

Now I just have to find the right tobacco dealer. They are hard to find where I live.

Thank you all. Since I’m growing a beard and don’t post much in the SoS threads anymore, I’ll squat in the DDoD threads and be the coffee-drinking, pipe-smoking, not really wet-shaving, photographer.

And this is crazy, I can’t find a good tobacco dealer here. And of course, I can’t buy Rattray’s online since it seems to be prohibited (for obvious legal reasons).

That's okay, Yukio! You keep posting yummy coffee and pipe pics. I love 'em! :drool

Curious that there is not a good tobacconist near you. I don't know how restrictive the rules for import on tobacco are in France, but there are a number of good online places to order here, and I would think in England, too.

Lyrt
09-11-2007, 06:21 AM
In France, tobacco is a state monopoly and no licence for online retailing has been granted so far. Most American online retailers I’ve found do not ship outside the USA. Some do, like this one (http://www.cupojoes.com/index.html), but I first have to check how the government will harass me if customs open my parcel.

Here tobacconists mostly sell cigarettes and low-end tobaccos. I'll probably have to wait for my next trip to Paris. :angry032

Why is it those damn things attract people. Pure dog food but I love them.

Yesterday - Pork Day
Lunch - Carnitas with rice and pinto beans
Dinner - Pork Loin Roast with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables
Was accused of being a Shave Goody Pig hence the signature picture. :rofl

Cohiba, Maduro 5, secretos
Romeo y Julieta Limited Edition 2007

They came in a surprisingly ugly box, thus the black & white pic. Also the tobacconist explained that unless they had many customers, they couldn’t stock a wide variety of tobaccos, due to taxes (for a 10€ cigar, 8€ go in the government’s pocket) and other obligations (they have to print at their own expense those warning stickers and they have to buy a huge amount of tobacco from the wholesale dealer).

No, no, no. Jack in the Box Tacos are much better. All that deep fried goodness and grease. No comparison. I don't want to hear someone say something about me and good Mexican food either. This doesn't count. :D

Jack in the Box tacos are good. Last hospital i worked at.......this one nurse on her nights off would go get drunk....each time...for some reason..she would come to the ER with 50 tacos..and make a fool of herself. If i would see her staggering around.....i would always say......had fun....wheres the food..haha

I made food for 10 people and offcourse im all alone here so this def. needs to be eaten for the weekend so no cooking today.

Spaghetti Bolognese.
500gm Minced Beef meat.
6-7 pieces of Garlic used for the sauce and for the meat.
a few spoons of Palm sugar.
Paprika powder into the minced meat.
1 whole onion.
500 gm Bio healthy grown Spaghetti ( this will be replaced in the future by whole grain spaghetti which is much healthier )
1 Tomato
some Fresh Oregano from Greece.
1 Heinz Spagheroni Piccante Sauce ( I know its cheating but no time to make a sauce from scratch. )
Grated half ripened cheese.

Red wine from 1998 great year great wine...

dead easy to make.. and complete satisfaction guaranteed
go easy on the eating its filled with Carbs... thats why choosing whole flour is better then white flour which gets converted to Sugar right away.

Im kinda a fitness diet/ freak but ill sinn once a week.... this is my sinners Day...
