Alright Yall....
Ive done this before and will prolly do it again but.
The family unit has vacation scheduled for the last week in OCT.
We want to do something fun and educational that is a 6 hr drive or less from us.
Heres what weve done / seen so far:

San Diego
Palm Desert
Monterey
Sedona / Flagstaff
Disneyland = yearly passes. Dont even go there :D
Catalina Island
Yosemite


Need some ideas quick.
Time is of the essence.

How about the Grand Canyon.

I never been there but it is supposed to be really cool.

Oh Yeah its a little bit more than 6 hours (6.5 hours) but I heard its worth it.

+1 Grand Canyon. October would be beautiful there. Ride in on the train from Williams and stay at the El Tovar.

Another thought: a drive up Hwy 1.

Mexico? / Rocky Point?
PCH up the coast / Ojai / Solvang / San Fran?
Grand Canyon, although I like Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona better :)

I've been to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Both very beautiful and worth the trip.

I guess I'll havta throw it into the ring, yall.
Weve been going back and forth and still havent decided on any place yet.
4 day cruise down to Mexico is still at the top of the list, tho.
or a quick 45min drive to Palm Desert.
Nov. is really great out there.

Bryce has some really nice horseback tours.
