That is horrible... my stomach turns any time something cruel happens to an animal. I know I hate heat of that level.. I can't imagine what the animal must have felt like.
It is just even worse that it was an officer and a police dog. Just.. horrible.

I couldn't believe he would have survived after so much time...
I am really at a loss still. No excuse for this at all...
I'm thinkin' that the officer needs to find a new line of work. I wouldn't want him.

that aint nothin... really... i mean no animal should be put through that, but its still an animal... period... i dont know if it was local, but there was word going around out here about some dips*** that was supposed to run his kid to daycare, forgot to do so, went into the house, and came out hours later when the daycare called (at 3 pm) to ask where his son was... the 18 month old baby boy was dead... i hear the guy went nuts or something... i mean its tragic for him to be going through this, and to go clinically insane afterwards... but i couldnt dream of doing something so @#$%in stupid! screw going crazy... id blow my own brains out if i did that to my son... and id deserve it 110%... i mean granted i can see maybe the kid fell asleep during the car ride, so he probably wasnt making his presence known... but how the HELL do you just "forget" he exists? i worry about walking outside to get something from my car while my son is in the house asleep.... some people are stupid... i remember once, the closest thing i came to a similar situation was when i walked outside to nab my dog that was attempting to run away, and i left my son in his play pen and my (at the time) fiancees kid in the house... she was 6 at the time, well capable of intelligent action when asked to STAY PUT! but no... the bonehead came outside, and locked us both out of the house... without regard to anything i put my fist through a double paned window to get back into my apartment... luckily, the landlord was empathetic and replaced it the very next day without even questioning my actions...
^
it seems I hear this story EVERY summer lately.
Dont need a license to be a "parent"....unfortunately.

that was the first i heard of it... well, i mean ive heard of people leaving their kids in their cars going to the grocery store... or to buy drugs.. or to go to a bar... and those are all equally stupid and irresponsible... but, there is a little more/less conviction than this particular situation.. those parents were just negligent, worthless people.... this guy? is a sheer idiot... a bafoon like no other recorded in history... incapable of being trusted with something as little as a bag of potato chips... un-worthy of adulthood, or life for that matter... they should try him for involuntary manslaughter, with a death sentance at the end of his term, for no other reason than to keep him from attempting to procreate a being he is mentally incapable of taking care of, again... at the least, he should be castrated before being permitted to enter society again... and branded with "STUPID" on his forehead...
yeah... this kinda s*** pisses me off...

I'd smash the guy's face if I'd see him in person. My German Shepherd gets treated like a king, and he knows when it's unbearably hot here, he can stay inside after a walk, and sleep in a nice cool a/conditioned house.
