The mail....

Am i oblivious to some sort of mail holiday today? i mean i can see monday... but not today.... i come home, mind you: the mail is usually here by 3:30 every day, and today nobody has mail... not me, not my neighbors, not the homies down the street... here we are... nearing 5pm and still no mail... now, the mail completely shuts down around here at about 6:30.... and im expecting a few packages to hit between today and next friday (different stuff, with different methods of delivery, shipped on different days) so im getting a little...... oh how should i put this.... oh yeah, PISSED! .... with my luck, the mail got lost today and today only, and my most expensive items got lost with it... the mailman probably went crazy and drove the truck off a cliff or something... or maybe he got carjacked and some idiot is running off with my stuff as we speak....

but, doubtful... and purely comical :rofl:: so is there a holiday im missing today? or is my street stuck in a silent hill/twilight zone type scenario?

the silent hill movie was done MUCH better and more in key with the actual game than the resident evil movies.... i am a big res fan, and the movies pissed me off.... SH? i got into the games BECAUSE of the movie... i never played the games as a kid, never had the patience for it... but now? SH has gotten into my head man... after playin 2 and 3, beating 3 about 4 times.... im starting to see the "otherworld" all around me :scared011 like when i watch a movie and the scenery is all dark, desolate, and old... i get flashbacks... lol :rofl the game was very good, and it can seriously creep you out.... you ever play SH3? remember the part in the construction site? the manican (i think i spelled that wrong) studio? she walks over to a manican and the head and body are sitting on a pole/hanger thing... walks over to the other side of the room, you hear a scream and a thump... next time you walk over there, the things head is lopped off and theres blood everywhere.... creeped me out lol ::

It's my personal belief that the mail services just doesn't function some days. My razor from Leesrazors has yet to arrive yet my package from West Coast Shaving got here two days ago. One is in NY (Lees) and the other California (West Coast) It makes NO sense to me and I stop trying to explain it after awhile.

I was 17 (I think) when RE came out, I bought a Play Station just for that game.

isnt CA closer to you? sorry... dont know much about CN lol but, even still... depending on when he sent it, how he sent it, and how many places it has to stop before the long haul to the final destination.... those packages could take a significant amount of time in between... you should probably have it by friday if they both shipped the same day.

i was probably about 12 when RE came out... truth be told, i have no idea... but i know RE 2 was rather big when i was about 15 or 16... maybe 14? eh.. somewhere around there... code veronica sucked, and i havent even bothered with outbreak.... lol res 4 was bad!!! i love that game... just got the infinite rocket launcher (i hadnt played it for quite some time after i beat it) so now im going for 100% accuracy... i hear theres a special ending if you get 100% acc through the whole game :)

how is SH 4? im trying to find it, but i cant... nowhere rents it, and no used shops have it... but, i wanna know if its even worth my time trying to locate the thing lol so how was it?

New York City is an hour flight at most from Toronto, while California is 4-5 hours depending on where you are going in the state.

Seemed to me that a package from NY would easier beat one from CA.. but I guess I was wrong. :D

whew... you sure he sent it already? lol an hour flight is about 6 hours drive time... its apparent to me that the postal services will actually let a package sit and collect dust for a few days JUST to be spiteful for you not paying the 2 - 3 day shipping fees.... if i dont pay those fees, it would take a week for me to send a package 50 miles away....

I would assume he did. I have heard great things about Leesrazors from various people around here, and considering I ordered it on the 24th of August and he charged me on the 25th, it should have gone out last week easy.

and to mottern man, you should DEFINITELY play the others!!!! i liked 2 more than i liked 3... but they were both good, and both had their advantages.

Most likely. Customs exists to make ours lives slower..and to charge us to look at our packages. lol

customs charges you to look at your package? pfft... that should be illegal... thats like charging you at the airport for "random inspection".... aint your fault they wanted to check your stuff out.... seriously... that should be considered racketeering... maybe even extortion... theft... you name it... its a racket, because they are taking it upon themselves to provide you a service you didnt ask for, and then FORCING you to pay for it... which would be extortiong... "pay us, or you never recieve your goods" which also leads to theft... it aint theirs... and unless there was something illegal inside, they have no business keeping it...

It is clearing fees, heck they also have the ability to open the package and inspect the contents.

It happens any time you bring something over the border no matter which way it goes.

well yeah i can see opening up the package... check for bombs, drugs, etc.. but they should scan it first to see if thats necessary... and hey, the USA wants their protection... they pay for it... they tax us as it is... i find it hard to believe we pay for all these taxes, and if i want a copy of my driving record? i gotta pay... a copy of my criminal record? i gotta pay... if i want a copy of the police report associated with an accident that i didnt even CAUSE, i gotta pay... if i want a cop to come outside for 10 seconds to see that my license plate has been fixed to the front of my bumper, i gotta pay... if a cop comes out to my home and for whatever reason that day decides to be a prick and say he didnt feel it was absolutely necessary, i gotta pay.... i really dont understand how taxes get paid out, and why... a few hundred people in a single city take care of the police and fire support in their city with their tax payouts every month.... what does the rest of the money go to? we all pay for water, we pay for residential tax ontop of our income tax... ill NEVER agree with our system... and after ALL this financial botchery... our nation is STILL in debt... aint that a gas? ::

Sledge you may have had a substitute carrier on that day or a person they threw on the route cold. If no one got mail trust me the postmaster will get holy hell. They have to report when mail isn't delivered. Granted sometimes I'm sure they don't. Btw, the USPS is very strict about delaying mail and Priority Mail (with Delivery Confirmation) and Express Mail are monitered closely. The Postmaster gets in big trouble if those stats are off. God forbid an Express Mail gets delivered after the stated delivery time! Oh yeah I'm a rural carrie and if you want any inside info I'd be happy to help.
