I put mine on right out of the shower while my hair is still pretty damp, usually towel dry a little bit so it's not sopping wet, but leave it damp. Just work it through your hair and scap thoroughly, feels great on the scalp. After that I add a dap of Clubman gel and proceed as usual.

My routine is the same as Mike's but no gel afterwards.

As I shower in the evening b4 bed I don't use hair tonic. Just some brilliantine/pomade in the morning and I'm ready to go.

I have some new hair tonic:
Jeris Osage Rub and Lucky Tiger Special Formula but I can't use them yet. A spider bit me in a couple of places on my left temple and I'm clearing up the subsequent mess/infection it left. Slow to heal. I certainly don't want to throw alcohol and menthol on it. :(

Thank You.
Hope so too, it's not pretty. I'm not allergic so that's a good thing. Just some subcutaneous tissue damage that justs needs TLC and time.

While I slept. I noticed a tenderness one morning and then it went downhill from there. Spiders don't bother me, except the black widows I have to spray the yard for. Occasionally, I have to relocate a homeless, wayward Tarantula. Cute fuzzy things. Yellow jackets are a pain but I've been known to squash them barehanded like I had to on the roof a couple of weeks ago while trimming trees and cleaning gutters.. I used to be creeped out by air wigs. The one bug around here that totally creeps me out is the Jerusalem Crickets. Ugly, Ugly, Ugly and nasty.

LOL.... I used to have inlaws that lived off Marcella Ave in Gilroy. Their walnut orchard had those crickets. Very odd looking critters and big too!

Hair tonic is key if you're like me and often show in the evening. You can wake up with some gnarly bed-head, add a splash of tonic and you're golden
Well what is the benefit of hair tonic? I have very short hair so short that I don't even have to use gel except the week of a hair cut
