Proud Mommy time! :D

Blair (PalmettoB) was gracious enough to build Jenna a special potty chair, at my request.

For those of you who aren't familiar with my daughter, Jenna is 3 yrs old, and has Cerebral Palsy. She has shown signs of being ready to be potty trained for some time now. However, the widely available potty chairs don't offer any trunk support. Jenna has low trunk muscle strength. It is getting better all the time, but still she needs some support.

Anyway, pictures.

Yes, she has "used" the chair, but she hasn't told me when she needs to "use" the chair yet.

Thanks so much, Blair! Jenna absolutely loves her chair!

#1-twice, #2-zero

Both times I have set her on it, without her telling me she needs to use it. So, it doesn't really count, but it is getting her used to the chair, and hopefully teaching her what it is for.

#2s will probably be difficult for her to do on the chair. The muscle tone in her legs is so tight. :o Maybe after her next round of Botox.

The picture was quite blurry, IMO, but I had to include it because of the smile. :D

Jenna LOVES books! They're very nutritious.

I'm actually reading Alice in Wonderland to her, at bedtime. This is one book I can say the movie was a definite improvement.

hehe... Maybe for children but the book was original for a reason. Gotta love the caterpillar.

Of course you could have picked the Brothers Grimm Fairy tales.. and I don't mean the modern versions either. THAT would have been fun for bed... :D:rofl

The book is an awful read in my humble opinion. Very poorly written.

Jenna adores the caterpillar. She goes on and on about, "the caterpillar....the caterpillar....."
The REAL AIWL?

Yep. I haven't read it before. :ashamed001

You have to remember the state of the mind of the author at the time. He wasn't exactly sane... or off drugs. :D

Regardless what you read to her, I am sure she is always happy when you do. Lots of fun for her I bet. :)

JoAnna, I can't recall how many times I've told you that Jenna is an absolute doll, but it hasn't been enough!! Every photo I see of her just reinforces that. Sounds like Mom's doing a pretty good job too.

And thanks, Blair, for the "extra effort". Looks like it should do the job and obviously, it's much appreciated!

I am so happy to see those pics. JoAnna PM'd me when Jenna first used the chair, but I'm glad that she is getting used to it. I'm really thrilled it's working out so well. :D :D :D
