In reading through some of the posts this evening, I noticed what seemed to be a rather large number from members who are not in the US. That intrigued me, so I went to the Members List and discovered some interesting statistics. Of the (so far) 63 members, 40 indicate where they are located (come on folks - you can tell us). But of those who did indicate their location, fully 22% are from somewhere besides the US! TSD has representation from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Scotland, Sweden and the United States! A small community, but global. I think that's wonderful! Hopefully, we'll all get to see a variety of points of view about any number of issues...even shaving! ;)

Wow... that's awesome!
It's great to see that there are people representing all parts of the world! So many different styles and cultures make for a great place!
(come on folks - you can tell us).
I simply forgot to add it, but it's not a secret that I'm in France.
Edit: added.

Just don't ask the Texans they think they are in a sepparate shaving country than the rest of us! On another board the Texans out numbered all countries but Canada and US.

My house smells like Gilroy tonight!! Come to think of it, it smells like Gilroy MOST nights! Drove through there once - knew where I was LONG before I got to the city limits! :D One of these days, I'll have to make it out there for the festival! Long way from New England, but still...GARLIC!! :rofl

The festival is an easy walk from the house depending on whether it's 85 or 105 though. I'm a long way from New England too. I transplanted from Taxachusetts in '83

Mass, huh? Too bad we can't have a thread where we could listen to member's ACCENTS! We have the always distintive Mass accent (how do YOU pronounce "bath"? ;)), a couple of Tennesseeans, NYC, South Carolina, a few Texans and Oklahoma too. Then, there are the Irish and Australians and...etc., etc.! Would be fun...

I don't get caught on accent too often. It's when I start adding or dropping the letter "r" to words that it comes out. You get the idear? May I have a glass of watta? :)

THE Garlic Festival here in the East is in Saugerties, NY, the last Sat & Sun in September. 36,000 people in 2 days were there in 2006. I was there on Saturday.

Live about 40 miles away and have 100 in the ground waiting for the July harvest.:happy023
