Well, after some discussion at another forum, I've come to the conclusion that the newly labeled Clubman products come with a new formulation. Given how much I love the Pinaud Clubman line, I can only fear the worst. Has anyone tried the newly labeled products? Will such chichi ingredients as "oakmoss" and "treemoss" ruin Clubman as we know it?

Examples:

Old Clubman a/s label ingredients: SD Alcohol 40, Water (Aqua), Fragrance (Parfum), Yellow 5, Red 33, Green 5

New Clubman a/s Ingredients: SD Alcohol 40, water, fragrances, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, citral, citronellol, limonene, geraniol, hydroxycitronellal, linalool, evernia prunastri (oakmoss) extract, evernia furfuracea (treemoss) extract, yellow 5, red 33, green 3

Old Pinaud Musk Ingredients: SDA 40 Alcohol, Water, Fragrance, Brown #1

New Pinaud Musk Ingredients: Alcohol 40, Water, Fragrance, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Citronellol, Limonene, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool, Evernia Prunastri Extract (OakMoss)

They just spelled out the fragrence and complex (or not so) names of the alcohol contents and others on the bottle

Its cool

Same ole Clubman to my nose and face. ;)

OK, Doc has convinced me not to buy up every old label bottle in existence. I will hold him responsible if the new label stuff is even remotely different! :D

This is correct.

The term "fragrance" or "parfum" was a catch-all for all the other stuff that you now see listed. I believe labeling requirements have changed....either that, or they just decided to begin listing it all out.

As far as scent, it is definitely the same. But I did notice that the newer bottles smell "fresher".
