Hello everyone!
I am a new poster here as well as a new wet shaver in general (only 3 shaves under my belt so far). I have come from the land of electric razors and just was simply not happy BUT I happily stumbled across this forum and I have learned much already.
Since I have used a lot of the advice from here as well as Mantic's wonderful tutorial series, I figured I would sign up for the forums and get involved!

Welcome to the group Sejanus! You will learn here (shaving section) and you will grow here (The Bar and Grill section). A great place to pick up tips and ask questions and share your knowledge.

Thank you all for the kind words and welcome!
Nice to see you are from Toronto Smedley, perhaps I can ask for advice on where to buy things locally sometime. :)
I have created one of these medicine cabinets in the forums, but just for a quick outline I have ordered the letterk sample pack for blades so when that arrives I will be entering into my 'blade picking' phase, but currently I am using Merkur blades since I could find them locally.
Right now I am using a Merkur 25C Long Handle Classic Open Comb. I have on order however the razor I truly want, which is the Merkur 12C. I like the extra weight since I find my current one a tad too light.
For brushes/soaps, I am using a C&E Ebony/Nickle Best Badger Brush along with Trumper's violet soap. I finish that up with Coral Skin Food also from Trumpers.
I find everything working great as long as I remember the tips and hints given in the many resources I have read, and am going to be working on my ATG passes this week to get closer results.

Ask away. I'm as obsessive as the next wet shaver when it comes to finding stores that sell the goods. :D
