Thanks for the site Joe! I've been there a couple times, but haven't bought anything yet... I want to get into straights but just haven't had the chance to do it yet

What ARE you doing to them Joe? I don't know what it takes, what do you do exactly when you refurbish a straight? Educate me baby... :D

Oh Joe is an Artist aswell , Those Scales are not the original scales for those straights. he fixes the blades/edges if needs to be and you can ask for a custom made scale from a particular piece of wood if im not mistaken ?

well between bill and joe its hard to resist isnt it...my first proper straight came from him and its one of my favourites, I also have razors from Joe too and they are awesome, I like the bigger blades, my funkiest razor my wife bought me as a welcome to the USA pressie and it has cool scales on a Torey blade from Bill.

Both these guys will sell you great blades for all tastes in my honest opinion so check them out....

regards,simon::

I second what Simon has said. I own razors from both Bill and Joe and they do excellent work at fair prices. Ummmm maybe too many razors? :rolleyes:

Btw, Simon, I was eyeballing that Tartan Torrey but I feel better that a true Scotsman scooped it. My family traces back there by way of Canada but I'm a Massachusetts native. The local blades (Torrey being Worcester, Mass.) usually pull at my heartstrings.
