My world will soon begin to slow down for just a week or so before it picks up again. Thought I would stop by and say HEY!

Kids start school this week and we have an extra one in our house. We have 3 out of the house, 2 going to college and were down to our last teenager. We now have another teen that we have legal guardianship over.

The gardens came in good and I'm still canning away. Miserable in this heat (no AC) but we will appreciate it in the cold of winter!

I've done some experimenting with cold process shave soaps - they're okay but I want more from them. Using African Black Soap (supposively helps prevent ingrown hair), lanolin and stearic as additives.

Hopefully I'll be able to visit more often this winter.

Miss you guys & gals!

Fall? What is this? In South Carolina we go from summer to kinda cool to ice storms to HOT! again...

As dry as it's been, our fall color may not be so great, either. :( But it will be nice to have some cooler weather. Maybe by October here...

I'm still waiting for summer to arrive. It's been below average all summer here for the most part. I'm thinking of draining the kiddie pool already.

:p I'll take it. I didn't work for Wonderbread in 120+ degrees and high humidity for nothing. I need to get more soaking time in on this pool before I put it away. :D I'll be buying a solar pool pad before next year.

feels like fall here in Canada. The AC is off and the the windows might be closed soon. It is really cooling off fast.
