I have a Gillette Slim Adjustable.....and what im wondering is....what do the numbers exactly mean.....i mean i see that it bends the blade going up and down....but.....where should one start shaving....

When i was posting before..i had a title of Dials 9 everytime.....so im guessing...that 9 is popular........what do you all think

NO, don't Start at 9.

Work up to it.

If you are an HD user, try 3-5 ish.

The Adjust is blade exposure.

Oh in that case, have you used a DE before?

If not start at 1-2 ish. Find your angle and DIAL ON UP!

He just had his first DE shave the other day.

So, Isaac, start at 1 or 2 as Will says.

Ill do that then......im really liking this Gillette Tech Superspeed...

I think my routine will be....workdays...DE....offdays....Straight...since the straight takes a bit more time.and i wake up ...pretty much in time to leave for work :P

That slim adjustable was my goto DE razor for a long time. It is still right next to my Fatboy and both I still use when I am time-pressed. With classes starting back in a week or so, there will be some mornings I only have time for a DE instaed of a str8.

And the slim is still probably my favorite...maybe neck-and-neck with the Fatboy. Start on the low numbers, but since you are used to a straight, you'll end up at 9. :D

Starting to low is much more forgiving than high.
