Have any of you tried this rasor--5/8 Giesen & Forsthoff TIMOR 306 "Hamburg Ring"? The price is only $60.00, cheaper than a lot of old e-Bay razors.:confused::confused::confused:

If you mean this one at Classic Shaving, I think it would be a great blade. You can pretty much trust any of theirs (CS). And there aren't many bad genuine Solingen blades.

The "skinny" over at SRP is that they are pretty good razors, but a little tougher to hone than say, a Dovo. Seems like they hold an edge pretty well once you get them there.

I was under the impression that these were made by Dovo, but what do I know. I could very well be wrong... been saying that a lot lately

Hmmm...I'm not sure...maybe a subsidiary of some kind? I dunno, but here's the razor on their webpage...
