Well, the darndest thing happened last night, and I wonder if anyone else had this happen to them.

Last night, I had a cookout with some friends, and the usual burgers, hot dogs, chips, etc... were all served. As per normal cookout etiquette, the kids migrated to the back yard and played hide and seek, or whatever other game they play nowadays, while the adults settled in the living room with some beers, wine, and some good ol fashioned merriment. Well, the families started to depart around 10pm, after getting nice and juiced up (they all had a desig driver). After everyone left, I decided to have "ONE last beer" before I hit the sack. I already had a nice buzz going on, so I thought I'd have one more cold one and do a little web surfing while I sipped my last brewski.

Well, lo and behold, I get up this morning and go to the computer to check my email. Interestingly enough, I had an email from Emsplace. I said to myself "hmmm, why am I getting an email from them"? So, I opened up the email and found out that while having that "last" beer, I ordered myself a tube of Spieck shaving cream. Why did I do it? I have no idea!! But, I hope I'm glad I did.

Anyone have iny info on the Spieck scent in the shaving cream? What's it like? Is it an "Old Spice" type of scent in the way of being "old school", or is it a modern, zesty, fresh scent?

Even though I had no intention of ordering some Spieck, now I'm glad I did and I can't wait for it to get here.

This is one of my favorite creams. I am not good at describing the scent but I think it is fresh with a little spice. If you have ever used Wars from Poland and like it you will enjoy Speick.

Speick is an outstanding cream. I enjoy everything from the Speick line, but my favorites are the shave stick, the cologne, and the Deo spray

Here's a pic of the cream all done up:

The scent of Speick is unique

Spicy (not like old spice), yet mellow. Understated, yet confident. Smooth. Suave.

Indeed, my friend, indeed. Speick is a wonderful cream. It not only lathers beautifully, the scent is lovely, and the skincare is great.

This is great cream. I got mine by mistake - Smallflower sent me the cream along with the shave stick and a/s instead of the Provence Sante I had ordered. I told them not to worry about the exchange and they were very good about refunding the difference in price. Glad I kept it!

The scent is a little spicy, but somewhat herbaceous to my nose. You done good.

I find it to be a cross between chamomile and patchouli (but not strong, hippie, patchouli...just a hint of it). One of the greatest smelling (and performing) creams I've tried.

Boy, am I ever glad I had that "one last beer". I just received my Spieck Shaving Cream from Em'splace. What an intriguing scent this is. It's kind of like Old Spice on Steroids, but much more interesting and mysterious.

The consistency is very thick, almost like Toms of Maine, so I'm curious to see how it lathers up, but so far, I really like that scent. It's a classic!!!

Smells to me like Lavender with an extra kick from the Speick plant.

I've been using my Speick cream regularly for the last two weeks, and I've gotta say, this stuff is a gem! I don't know how I went without it before now, but this stuff is in my top three. That smell is unique, classic, and just downright awesome!! There is nothing that compares to it...it's neither a "cologne" nor a "soapy" type of scent, but it's unique, and that's what makes this cream so special.

Just had my first shave w/this stuff this morning. What a great scent, definitely unique. Yet it didn't seem to stick around so it didn't affect the smell of my aftershave.

I whipped up a test bowl last night, and the lather was super thick and rich. But this morning I think I added too much water b/c it was much lighter and airier (bigger bubbles). I still got a good shave out of it, probably a bit closer than I would have if I whipped up a thicker more protective lather like last night.

Does the soap smell like the cream? This is probably one of the strongest smelling creams I have, and I'd only be interested in the soap if the scent was just as strong.

How 'bout the aftershave lotion? Same scent? I'd like to have that scent around me all day if I could, at least sometimes.

Yes

How 'bout the aftershave lotion? Same scent?

No, not to my nose. The aftershave, although very good in the healing, etc. departments, was very disappointing to me as it lacked that great scent.
