If its an Aqua Velva clone, so be it......but what else is it? What is the scent? Ingredients?

Saw that in drugstore (but didn't smell it, I don't know why)

Unlike the original green, has glycerine and castor oil

the only thing I think I know about Skin Bracer is a commercial that starred Jack Palance. If SB is tough enough for Jack, maybe worth tyring:D

Cool! Will found this for $3 (before shipping). None of the stores in the US carry it, so I might give it a try.

If somebody has smelt this stuff, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Indeed, good find. Along with an ingredient listing:

Water, SD Alcohol 40, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, PEG-60, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Benzoic Acid, Menthol Ext., D&C Violet 2, FD&C Blue 1

I found some of this at a Super Wal Mart here locally. The ingredients list is 100% correct, and the scent is somewhat reminiscent of Pinaud Clubman, or somewhat reminiscent of Polo Green cologne.

Not too sure how that works... (how it smells a bit like each one) but it does.

Hm... to me it smells like neither Polo Green(my dad wears that, yuck) and it definitely doesn't smell anything like Pinaud Clubman.

Doesn't smell like Aqua Velva though either.

Joe (or anyone else who is interested), I found six bottles at my local Wal-Mart ($3.57 USD).

I didn't pull the trigger tonight because I have some Clubman Classic on the way from Classic Shaving, but I might get some this weekend.

(FWIW, I couldn't tell exactly what it smelled like, but it wasn't like AV. I'll probably end up getting a bottle anyway. :D )

Kudos to you, Blair, for showing restraint.

Personally, I would have cleaned them out ;)

Well, I finally succumbed. Got one just to try out. It definitely isn't AV. It is spicier. I think the Polo Green comparison is pretty well right.

I'm trying to find one of the older bottles of Skin Bracer ... the glass bottle with dimples in it. That's the Skin Bracer I remember growing up - I don't like this updated plastic bottle. I'll keep checking eBay.

Check it out .... so 80's.

They are out there, I've seen them. Keep an eye out, hopefully one will pop up.

I've even seen it paired with a glass bottle of Skin Bracer cologne

Welcome Steve! If you see a bunch of posts that look like an Aqua Velva war, don't panic. It's all in fun. Glad to have you aboard.
