Feathers don't work for me too. Especially in a slant. And if you want to try them in your Futur don't forget to dial down. Especially ATG. I've learnt that :eek:

Sorry bout another rough shave, Klaus.
THE only razor I like the Feather in is my 1950-ish SuperSpeed.
Try the blade in a lightweight, mild shaving razor and see if they work for you.

Thanks, Rick and thanks Stefan - don't worry, I won't be so suicidal as to put them in my Futur ;) !

@Rick: Well, the Feathers are unpredictable blades for me. The first time in the Slant I got a great shave - the second today was desastrous. I also used them in a Gillette Tech - 3 perfect shaves in a row, the fourth was desastrous as well. A few months ago I LOVED them in my HD - nowadays I can't use this combo anymore.... ::ban

Result: OK, Back to reality. The shave was a 4.1/5.0 I had a red patch on my left side neck hollow from the Futur and 7am Blade. I need to switch out the blade to an IP or Derby. Thank God the AV tribute to Doc is over. I can put it the AV away into the deepest darkest corner of my shave locker for another year. Now, the Anherb, ahhhhh...much better. I'll report on the Cavendish Black shave cream when I'm done testing it. I'm still humming "Hairspray" Show Tunes.

The LaRiana doesn't make an huge amount of lather. Use poor water and you get enough lather for a safety-razor shave. My skin got very soft but unfortunately the soap burnt my face a little. I have very sensitive skin.
Besides this, good shave.

Result: 4.5/5.0 This was the head to head test I said I was going to do. I used two comparable brushes and whipped up some soap in the pet bowl and the cream in the ceramic canister. Nope! The Feather razor is a much too gentle razor for my beard, maybe with a feather blade in it it might work, but not with a gentle blade like Lord..

Was a really nice and relaxing shave. First time with the Wilkinson. Dried a bit on my face and the razor started pulling. I didnt realize what was happening until I looked at my lip area and noticed the shave soap had caked. Added some more hot water and bam...all was fixed. No nicks what so ever. Almost no skin irritation. Still have two spots on my neck that are a bit rough to the touch but not really noticable looking at it. I was really happy with the Wilkinson soap, it had a great scent.

It is time again for our annual camping trip. The trip includes all the dads and the kids from our neighborhood and the wives stay home. The dads build a campfire and the kids make smores then they go to bed in their tents and then the dads get obliterated and complain about their wives.

Man, the grain on my neck is most annoying. Like qhsdoitall, it goes everywhere and I have the choice of trying to get rid of it (and get varying degrees of irritation) or live with a less than BBS shave.

Got woken rudely out of bed by my Blackberry im on call so I knew something could be wrong. weirdest thing I saw in my display my colleageas Nr's but he wasnt answering on the other end probably his Bberrry hit something on the auto dial.

Then I saw some customer is having email problems.

Good shave....Really quick too....i was suprised how easy it was to shave with a Duel Edge coming from shaving with a straight. Might as well been my Mach 3. Minor skin irritation, probably due to first shave ever/angle and what not. I would definately pick this habit up. So much easier than a straight shave, but then again....its not a straight shave :P

Congrats on the good shave , you still have your NOSE so I think it went pretty well !
very mild combo aswell The Tech +Derby can do nice jobs you dont need to focus as much as with a Feather then you Do need your STR8 skills and the focus.
