I just found this site. Looks prety good.
I've been wetshaving now for a couple of months and am always looking for new information and experience to learn from. Every new wetshaving forum I find is particularly helpful.
Thanks for having me, folks.
Greetings to you :D
Glad ya found us !

Welcome Mitch! A lot of people stop by and discover that TSD is full of good advice on all kinds of topics, great pictures and a lot of fun. Each of the forums that you may have visited or joined have different slants on everything from soap to blades and after a while it all sounds the same. I really picked up some different thoughts when I came over. A little slower pace but it gives you time to digest and not miss anything. BTW, sub-titles pop up often, just this morning I thought I was a shave mug hooker......hocker, these old eyes!
Kick your shoes off, stay awhile, enjoy!

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.
So far, my current set-up is:
several vintage gillettes (fat boy, 40's superspeed, tech, and a few more)
a merkur slant bar
a 1912 ever-ready single edge (which I use more than the others realy)
A Rooney super style 2 small & a shavemac pure badger
A small moss scuttle
Some Tryphon soaps, some Mama Bear soaps, T&H luxury soap
A couple of ToOBS creams, some Proraso cream
Floris Santal ASB, and Trumper's extract of limes skin food
I rotate through all that pretty regularly. Except for the razor, where I have been using that single edge Ever-Ready every day for a while. That lil' sucker gives great shaves. The Shavemac brush only really gets used with heavily dyed creams or soaps.
I have gotten a couple other folks involved in wetshaving now, also. Maybe I can get them to come over.
It has actually surprised me how many folk are completely resistant to going to a more traditional shave. I get the, "I hate shaving!". I tell them there is a better way, and they refuse to listen. I just don't understand.
At least around here I am surrounded by like minded people, and happy to be.
Cheers!

Welcome to the Shave Den, Mitch! You're going to like it here, I'm sure!
Always glad to see another Slant user, great shaving tool.
Even if I shave with another razor, I usually go to it for the really close touch-up around the neck.
