This is a German shave soap, for which you'll find a review HERE (http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=613).

I received a little jar of this from a good friend in Germany, and the lather produced is simply astonishing, in terms of slickness and volume. The volume of lather produced is mind-boggling.

The interesting thing is that this soap looks like grated Parmesan cheese.

What are the ingredients?

How do you lather it?

I usually just "dump" some into a bowl and then build a lather and transfer to face.

Wow.. high praise indeed. This sounds like some seriously unique stuff... grated cheese soap! What will they think of next?

The low point is the scent....I'm not crazy about it, but I don't hate it.

Everything else about it is outstanding.

This is the reason for the grated cheese looking :rofl

Usually it looks similar to a bar soap. It's an old German classic.

I'm a little confused about this soap. There are different versions. One has a light limony scent, the other smells like roses. They are made at Klar-Seifen.de in Heidelberg.
There is a third Kabinett. It's sold by a big hairdresser shop called Basler.

I think it's a very good SS. Lathers like mad and protects your skin. IMHO skin moisturizing is a little poor but ok.
The best is the prize. You get a pound of soap for about 12$.

I bought it here in Montreal, and I paid 25 bucks for it. It has a rosy scent, quite similar to Barber Saloon soap. It lathers very, very well. Guys, check the review I wrote on it, and feel free to comment on it.
