Result: I got the Merkur 12C razor on Saturday. I paired it up with a fairly safe IP (Israeli Persona) blade. Based on a lot of comments on here and elsewhere, I was prepared for this razor to maybe give me a little of a problem. Yes, it definitely felt different with the open comb design. Did I have a problem with it? No. I did have 2 days worth of beard and my face had been tortured by the elements on Sunday but it performed quite well. I will be a little more careful with it until I get used to it but I don't see any problems. I used the Cremo Cream as a pre and cleanup lather. Once it is gone, I will not replace it. There is a lot of hype about this cream but I haven't see it do any better than a lot of creams/soaps I have. 4.3/5.0 I had some skipping but I think it was just the condition my face was in from Sunday.

Result: 4.5/5.0 Day two with the IP (Israeli Persona) blade and the 12C Merkur Open Comb Razor was better. Still a little hesitant but I was confident enough to do full cheek glides like I can do with my other razors. I put some of the Pinaud Musk on the dog last night. He smelled much better after that. My daughter even noticed and wanted me to put some on her. :roflI won't be using cologne until this afternoon though. Don't need it. Decent shave all the way around.

I started my vinyl collection in 1962. At last count there were 400 + albums in my collection. Most of it still in reasonable condition. I continued buying vinyl through the CD revolution, and made many nice purchases as the Record shops cleared out space for CDs. I still purchase stuff when I find it.

It's the same. Maybe a touch more because I have not had to use oil on my shins the last two days. That might be the pine tar at work. The ones I've tried so far have the same basic qualities just different scents. The scents tend to be light and fade quick.

The homemade a/s consists of grain-schnapps, allspice-seeds (=pimento; very similar to and even better than Bay seeds), glycerin and menthol. A very soothing A/S even if I overdid it a tad with the menthol - I think the stuff's thrice as cooling as the Spanish Floid - but me likes it this way :D ::

Thumbnail test so i had found out is a way to test to see if the blade is sharp during honing. There are many ways to check for sharpness. I found out that if you test with the nail after a honing, you basically ruined the sharpening you just did.
