OK, we seem to have some really good straight razor experts on here. Can anyone tell me which modern manufacturer makes the best "quality made" straights currently. I won't go into artistic because that is very subjective.

Would the Maestro Livi fall under artistic?

I am not an expert and all of my straights are vintage but IMHO Dovo's, TI's and the new Henckels could be given consideration.

Ok, WOW! I mean, do you shave with that thing, julienne fries, or what! But seriously, it really is a beaut...a work of art.

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but how do you store/sheath that blade?

Bill is the Maestro of America, but for "production" razors, Dovo or TI.

Both are really good. Dovo makes excellent stainless blades and TI's Sheffield blades are awesome.

Now if you want to go into "artistic" or custom.. Either Bill, Maestro or Robert Williams. Although I have to admit that I´ve never used a razor from either of those people.

Beautiful work Bill!! :drool I've also seen a preview of Mr. Chandlers up and coming razors.....Very Nice :D

I'd also say TI or Dovo, for production stuff...I may try a new Henckels too sometime, although their pretty plain.

That's not two boxes. The bottom holds the spring loaded cradle. I'm tellin' ya, McGyver could learn twice what he knows from Vlad. He is definitely a talent. I have some of his boxes on my web site if any of you are interested...

I have 3 so I only can pick from the three because those are the only one's I shaved with. I have a 5/8 Dovo (Best Quality) A Henckels 5/8 Stainless Steel, and a 5/8 TI Best Silver Steel.

I like them all, but if I had to pick one it would be the TI.
