OMG...i just got a Tabac soap refill for the first time. I must say that the scent is HORRIBLE.....smells like old man. I love old time smells...but this is STRONG. I dunno....ill see what its like when i shave with it.

Wanted to clarify when i said Old Man......i meant like creepy old guy staring at you...or nursing home old...not general run of the mill old

For me, I like it very much. Even the scent. And I'm not staring at you!!!!

gee, I love the Tabac scent, I have the soap bowl, shave stick, deo spray, a/shave and cologne. What's so bad about it?

I just thought it was pungent. I havent shaved with it so maybe it is different after its actually lathered up and put on the face.

I have found a number of soaps and creams are that way. Odd smelling in the container and then very different when you lather it.

I find the scent a bit over the top too, it is still a good soap.

I really tried hard to like the Tabac scent, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't like it. The soap itself is an above average shaving soap, but the scent is just not something that appeals to me. I prefer soaps or creams that are a little zestier or something!! Tabac has a kind of old Dial Soap type of scent.

If Tabac came with the same scent as Ingrams shaving cream had, I'd buy it all the time. Ingrams has a really fresh scent to it.
