So far I have,

Omega Boar
Crabtree and Evelyn (Edwin Jagger) Best
Savile Row 3824
Kent BK8 (comming soon)

I am going to stop at 5 total (well that is the plan).

My B-day is comming up and I will have to drop hints to my wife.

So I started a poll on what to get next. I listed the major ones and other.

Please tell me what Brand and Model please. :D

Hi Doc,

I voted Rooney, I have the Style 1 Size 1 brush with a horn handle and silvertip knot. It has quickly become my go to brush for soaps and works equally well with creams. It has a pretty short loft, but the tips are very soft. It has not lost one hair on me yet and the knot is extremely dense for a brush it's size.

I voted other, my tip would be a Muehle Pinsel Super Badger brush.. Why not try http://www.muehle-pinsel.de/shop/en/shaving_brushes/classic/shaving_brush/1_24_1_332.html

Good price, Great Brush!

High loft, just a tad floppy, works exellent with soaps and creams..

Didn't vote.

Just because my next brush is going to be a Shavemac, doesn't mean yours should be. :signs136

SR 3226. This one is a keeper.

I voted Plisson too.
I know they have their detractors but there really is nothing else quite like a Plisson High Mountain White, and until you try one for yourself you will always wonder what they are going to be like.

The Rooney Style 2 gives you a PJ type handle with a fan brush head. The Genuine is a great brush, but has a bit of scratch to it. The Super might be perfect. Or, the Style 1 would be very "Simpson Chubby" like, but without the high cost.

I voted Vulfix, they looked sad and pitiful on the poll :rofl

So far, Rooney and Plisson are neck and neck.

Rooney Supers are not too expensive, great brushes w / a quality build, a little different than the others in your current herd.. :D

Beautiful brushes, but sooo spendy and the knots look Very similiar to a Shavemac or SR, I think I'll stick to the later...Now a Rooney in Finest, that's what I've got my eyes set on. :D

To be fair, I own a couple of Vulfix's (Vulfii?) ;) and I love them. In particular, my 2233s whips up a lather like nobody's business. Even though I voted Plisson, I've yet to shave with mine, but that'll happen very soon!

I love my SR but I want it to be a tad more floppy.

I am mostly a soap user but I want some soft luxury :D

Well....its not floppy......but a Rooney in Super Silvertip is incredibly soft to the feel, and has enough backbone to be used with soaps as well as creams.

Well, even with a Kent BK8 on its way, I personally vote for a BK12. (Then you can sell the BK8.)
It's just the most fantastic, luxurious feeling! Especially if you start the lather in a scuttle, then continue the lather on your face for the first pass. Sheer luxury! You deserve it!;)

If you haven't decided on a brush yet, I have another suggestion. It's along the same lines as a Plisson HMW but comes in a Shavemac's body.http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/vbpgimage.php?do=full&p=146&d=1182613407
