View Full Version : A question for the ladies

I recently purchased a 1965 (K-1) Lady Gillette for my niece. She was having a difficult time shaving her legs, and claimed she could only get a decent shave using baby oil in conjunction with disposable razors (bic?). She's since emailed thanking me as the lady gillette was giving her "the best shaves ever!".

Maybe this is a dumb question with the obvious answer, but I wanted to make sure. Does the blade make as much difference on the legs as on the face? Should I purchase a blade sampler pack for her, or would this be overkill?

Thanks in advance.

My wife stuck a Sharps in (well I did it for her) and she dose not even want to try another blade.

I am sure a blade assortment will not hurt at all to try.

I tried several different blades, and found SHARPs to be the best and most forgiving.

Feathers are acceptable for me too.

I say, SHARPs.

Ok, I did some searching and the only place I found the sharps was on ebay. Is there a vendor of choice for these blades?

Thanks.

My vendor of choice is always Rene (SSLStudio).

See our reviews of him http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1539

He is a TSD member, and you can just send him a pm.

You got a PM! :D

Might as well let her try a sample before you go buying 100 of them.

Yes, a very good plan. Thank you!
