In the world we live in, you don't always know who you're dealing with. This little addition will hopefully help with that. The only part of this that might be a little different, is the requirement to submit the url of the deal being reviewed. All you need to do is copy and paste the url from the thread of then actual deal, which is an attempt to keep everyone honest. You'll notice your itrader feedbacks are posted below a users post count.

Submit feedback by clicking on the other users itrader (the person that you're leaving feedback on) number (below their post count), and clicking the submit feedback link.

All fixed now, missed a little bug. I cleaned up this thread to make it less confusing. Feel free to post any questions or thoughts. You may notice some time restraints on how many feedbacks you can leave in a set period of time. This is there as a safety precaution to help with duplicate feedbacks.

Is this intended to work like e-bay, where the buyer and seller leave feedback for each other, or is it just for buyers to rate sellers?

Gotta say- this is an absolutely fabulous feature.

Fabulous feature!

However, I find the need to enter a URL a bit distracting.
Example: Someone contacts another person via pm and they set up a trade this way. I found a "workaround": I entered the URL pointing to the PM which worked but no one will be able to see the contents of the pm...

Could we make the URL optional?

This is great. And when someone can explain to me what Klaus just said, I'm all for it. :D

I think I'm with Klauss. If the reason for the URL is to help keep track of the trade in case of a problem, PM can not be tracked or could they?

otherwise the posts would be visible in the classifieds right?

or maybe i'm not understanding the why of the URL:confused: it's early I'm sowee

@Johnnie:
The reason for entering a URL - as I see it - is the following:
Someone looks at one's reputation-statistic. In there you will find a link that will lead the visitor to the thread belonging to the sale.
That's a great idea - but only in these cases where the sale took place in a public thread.
If a sale has taken place via pm one has to fill in a URL upon rating nonetheless - but as there's no thread belonging to the sale, one can't enter the requested URL.
A "workaround" here is to enter the URL pointing to the PM - but no one can read the PM as it can only be read by the user himself and the admins.

So I suggest the entering of an url to be optional - if the sale took place in the classifieds-section one CAN enter the URL but you can leave the field empthy if it took place by means of a phone call, fax, pm, psychic powers etc. :D

Yes, just like ebay. Buyers and sellers rate each other on individual deals.

The request for a url is there to be sure a trade actually took place. It adds a level of proof that a transaction happened, and not that you just "decided" to leave feedback. I can certainly disable it, or even tighten up how picky it is on the thread you specify. Without it we are more on the honor system... but then again feedback is entirely on the honor system anyway. I'm gonna make the url requirement optional, and we will revisit it if the problem arises. :D For now the number of times you can leave feedback daily is limited, which will contain any possible problems. At the moment the time limitations are set to the following (if you exceed them the software will remind you):

3 ratings per day (this is removed after you have a rating 5 or above)
30 days to post a "return rating" (as in the second half of a trade, after someone has given you feedback on it already)
24 hours between re-rating the same person

Well why didn't you say that in the first place, Klaus. ;)
