Steamed white rice ??????? How would you go about doing that ?
Im thinking raw rice grain is pretty hard then steam it ? or you mean already prepared rice is steamed ?
I usually boil rice either in a small pan or the rice cooker.

I haven't done anything but eat leftover pizza and some TacoBell for meals. However, I had half a pineapple sitting in the fridge that I had purchased several days ago but never cut up. Well, I just cut the core and skin off and chopped it up. Man, do I ever love freshly chopped pineapple! Yum. Beats the canned stuff any day of the week.

My friend, pineapple is my favorite fruit! And I agree, it just is not the same out of the can.

Fresh pineapple is just awesome.
I never ate anything but canned pineapple, until I got pregnant, and then I discovered fresh pineapple somehow. I prefer fresh but if I buy canned it is Del Monte. It is the closest to fresh. I probably couldn't tell the difference in a taste test.

Tonight, it's sauerbraten, potato dumplings and kraut. Been meaning to try this for a long time, but never seemed to think of it when I could do anything about it. Tonight's the night! Seven minutes left on the timer...my entire house has smelled absolutely WONDERFUL for the last couple of hours...we'll see if it tastes as good as it smells.

Not sure, I've never had Bob's. I remember hearing about it a long time ago but never got around to picking one up. I usually steer clear of any blend with a food in the name, lol
A good friend of mine recommended the Gawith to me and finally put a tin in my hand and forced me to try it. I don't smoke my pipes too often these days as I'm usually a cigar smoker, but this blend might shift things a bit for me :)

...on Texas Toast).
Hey, Doc, ever make your own Texas Toast? The garlic variety, I mean? I like the frozen stuff, so I decided to try my own. I use fresh Italian bread from the grocery store, brush a little ev olive oil on both sides, then butter both sides (can you hear the arteries closing up?), a little kosher salt and sprinkle with chopped fresh thyme. Under the broiler on a sheet pan til it's brown enough to suit (and then flip it of course). Careful...easy to overdo!! Don't ask me how I know that!
Then, when it's done, slice a peeled garlic clove in half and rub that sucker all over both sides of the toast. Now, I'm getting hungry!!
I've tried it with just olive oil, just butter and with both. Both wins - but the others ain't bad!! :eatdrink020
