It's summer, and it's getting hot. I need more cooling creams to try, and I mean REALLY cooling. The most intense i've used has been proraso, but now that it's not readily available (curse you target), I thought i'd explore a bit before restocking it.

I've tried the MB, but I was lookin for creams. The more intense the better. I've wanted to try the ingram myself... maybe it's time, but is it more intense than proraso?

Valobra Menthol (1/2 way between a soap and a cream) - though it is a soap
Ingram Lather -> Puts Proraso to shame, AND....its not loaded with chemicals like Proraso (not that you care)
Tom's of Maine Peppermint

Sounds like ingram is what I need. What kind of scent does it have?

I find Ingram's scent very mentholated and minty, with a hint of cinnamon, it's really nice.

I forgot to say this, I am sure MB can make them into creams.

I recently received a tube of Ingrams shaving cream from Westons, and of all the creams I've tried, this is by far the most mentholated of them all. Not only is it high in Menthol, it has a very unique scent that the only word that comes to mind when I try and describe it is "fresh". I can't use all the fancy basenote type words, but "zesty" and "fresh" are two adjectives I would use to describe it. And, the menthol kick is definitely present after the shave.

I've also heard, though I haven't experienced it, but the Italian Palmolive "Menthol" is the highest menthol cream you can buy. That's next on my list!

I love the scent of the Ingram cream, I find it very pepperminty, and in some ways, very similar to Noxzema lather cream. Yes, the cooling effect from Ingram is potent, and very enjoyable. The mentholated Palmolive cream is very cooling, I'd say about the same as Ingram, but not stronger, and the scent it has is very pleasant as well--between lemony, and minty. Very good stuff, for sure.

The new Pinaud Clubman Shaving Cream has a very nice cooling effect.

People might laugh at this, but I've found that the most "cooling" menthol cream, is Noxema Shave Cream "Menthol" in a can. I have about ten cans of it that I bought on ebay two years ago, though I never use them except in emergency and novelty situations. But, I've gotta say, it sure has a bang to it.

I find that while I love Ingrams, Proraso, Mentolo, etc... none of them are REALLY that strong compared to Noxema. I haven't tried some of the others yet, but Ingrams is supposed to be the strongest, and even then I don't find it that strong of a cooling effect unless used with Proraso pre/post. I think ANY cream can be classified as a "cooling" cream if you use pre/post with it.

I have the Noxzema lather cream in a tube, which is practically as cooling as Ingram. I love this stuff. The lather it gives, the skincare, and even the scent are nearly identical to Ingram.

I just ordered some of the Noxzema Tube cream, I can't wait. I hear it's exceptionally cooling. I can't wait to use it with a little Proraso pre/post, followed by a liberal application of Osage Rub. :D
