OK newbies stop what you are doing and run out to Target/CVS/Whole Foods
and pick up the following if you see it.
Proraso cream
Proraso Brush
Proraso ASB
Aqua Velva
Nivea Balm
Tom's of Maine Shave Cream
Kiss My Face Shave Cream
Palmolive Red Tube
Witch Hazel
Gillette Sensor (should hold you over)
As for the DE razor.
Gillette Super Speed (find IT on Ebay)
or a Merkur HD (search engine will find it so go ahead and search and keep looking for the best price :))
and some blades (sample pack available through LetterK here http://letterk.net/blades/.
Also If you want to try Shaving soap find a tobacco shop and pick up some Col Conk or head over to www.Bear-Haven.com both are great inexpensive soaps to start.
(OK you don't have to buy all of that stuff but you will eventually :D ).
Now how to do it.
Read up on Leisureguy's blog
Head over to YouTube and check out Mantic59's video's
And ask Questions we will have the answer or find it for you. :D
The steps in the video's/blog's are a good start point and a great resource/value to the shave community but you will have to see what works for you (hence YMMV).
After all is said and done let the Product impulse buy take over. :D ;) because it will.
Have Fun!/Happy Shaving!
