I am no longer able to open the straightedgerazors.com homepage and I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem?
My computer recently crashed and I had to return it to the original factory setting and consequently lost all of my internet files, this caused me some problems with various sites but these all seem to have remedied themselves over time with the exception of SER. I'm not sure if there is a problem with the site or with my computer.
I'm technically incompetent so I really have no idea how to find out what's happening.
Regards,
Alex

No problem here. I was just there and everything looked ok.

Oh dear, that means we are going to have to plumb the depths of my lack of knowledge when it comes to computers:ashamed001
I get a white screen with the following message:
Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

There is also a file name underneath that, but it's too long to commit to memory at the moment. Any ideas:confused:
I know it's not the most active site, but it's chock full of great razor porn so I would really appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

Regards,
Alex

Think I'd try adjusting your security settings.
If you're running explorer go to tools -> internet options
click on the security tab, in the lowest box click custom, then change the drop down box to a lower level.

Firefox:
Tools -> Privacy
Check accept cookies

Which browser are you using?

Er, wait.... ignore all that, just stay here.

Just kidding, we'll get it figured out for ya. ;)

Great thanks for the help. You'll have to bear with me here, but hopefully we can get it sorted (fingers crossed.)

I'm having the same probloems getting to the homepage, but am able to link directly to the forums (http://www.straightedgerazors.com/forums/index.php) page. You can get further assistance from their Adminstrator/Moderator from there (e.g., PM).

Thanks, that does get me to the forums page. Do you have a link for the gallery? I've tried typing in the same address but substituting gallery for forums but I get a page cannot be found message. :(
Once again, thankyou to those who took the time to help.

SER Image Gallery (http://www.straightedgerazors.com/index.php?ind=gallery)

Try the main page again -- I just got through to it to get the gallery link. ;)

That's what I love about this place. We're so darn helpful, we'll even assist you in getting into OTHER shaving sites. How's that for service?? :rofl

Kind of reminds me of "Miracle on 34th Street." Macy's versus Gimbals. One of the stores doesn't have something or at the right price and the store Santa sends the customer to the other store. Management is about to fire his butt when the customer gushes how wonderful the service and store is and they'd be sure to shop there more. Management immediately puts in a policy to "help" the customer no matter what. :D

Hee, I remember that. Heck, when I was in retail (menswear), I used to do that a lot. I always figured if we didn't have something, and couldn't get it, I was only helping people out if I sent them where I thought they could get what they wanted. And they usually came back to me the next time!

We do the same for our business. If we don't have it or someone is killing us on price, we'll send them to where they can get it. Got a lot of repeat business that way. People even start buying from us even if the price was a little higher.
