I'll break mine down into four categories; 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier plus those I won't be buying again.
1st Tier J.M. Fraser's - Just got this (Thanks, Smedley!!) and it's already my absolute favorite. Pleasant lemony scent and very lubricating. Plus it comes in a huge 450ml tub (about twice what you get from Taylor's).
C&E Almond and Taylor's Almond - both perform very well (too bad about the scents; just don't care for either)
2nd Tier Taylor's Lavender and GFT Rose - love the scent of both and I get awesome shaves from these. Just not quite on a par with Tier 1.
3rd Tier Taylor's St. James and Mr. Taylor
T&H Grafton and 1805
Salter Citrus
Proraso Green
All are fine, just not as good as the others.
Will never buy again Taylor's Avocado. Too bad because it does what shaving cream is supposed to do and it does it very well. I just don't care for the scent. Sickeningly sweet...to my nose anyway. If you like the scent, buy some as it's a very good cream.
GFT Coconut. Shaves ok, but has absolutely NO scent! NONE! Can't understand the RAVES I've read about the scent of this one. Did I mention that it has no scent?
GFT Violet. Again, shave is fine, but it smells like wet cardboard.
Musgo Real. Love the scent, but my face doesn't get along with this one at all.
I'm sure many will have differing opinions, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ::

Michael, I have a feeling Musgo was reformulated, because I once had a serious problem with skin irritation and rashes with it. Recently, I received another Musgo tube, and I find I can shave with Musgo without these problems.

Wars has a spicy woodsy scent. I think Jeff can better describe it. I really like it. Balea is more along the lines of Palmolive and Nivea, it's also very nice. I have one tube only for the Balea so I will use it very, very slowly. I would really like to find a connection to get Wars but no luck so far.

Indeed, Wars is really nice stuff, and quite dirt cheap (though not as cheap as J.M. Fraser), at CAD$1.69 for a 65 gram tube!

Raf
On the Vulfix Lavendar...
Bluish purple color, but lathers up white (though I keep my "white" bristle away from it from paranoia).
Medium density cream (thicker than Salter's)
Lathers easily with good volume
Applies in a nice, thick, opaque layer with good cushion
Only Lavendar that I own, so nothing to compare to for scent. Smells minty without too much floral.
Contains glycerin & aloe vera, but also parabens

Funny, I used to use Taylor of Old Bond Street all the time, then for some reason it started to irritate my chine and neck area. I could not believe that it was the shaving cream. I had been using it for nigh on twenty years. I then began my search for the perfect shaving cream. At present I use Nivea and Speick (which you can buy through amazon.com) and Proraso from Italy. I have several tubes of Nivea if some one would like to trade me a tube of Florena for one Nivea; let me know.
I am so happy to have found this group. I thought I was the only person left who is preoccupied with shaving cream.

I use it with a brush. It takes a bit more cream, water and work to get it lathered, but once you figure out the ratio, it is a very very good cream. It is very slick and moisturizing, and I can get it at my local drug store.:D

ohhhh, I must to add 3 creams to the favorites--Williams Menthol, Palmolive Menthol, and Noxzema lather. Wow, these creams are just too nice for words to describe. The Noxzema one for many, many years was my one and only brand til it was discontinued here in Montreal, then not very long ago, I received it again, and I feel like eventually my many other brands may be very ignored, because of these 3.

I'm going to list the company and not the individual scent since I seem to like all the scents offered by them.
#1 Crabtree & Evelyn
#2 Floris London
#3 Truefitt & Hill or Taylor of Old Bond Street (Made by same company. Geo F. Trumper is the other one of the three "T" shaving soap/cream companies)
#4 Tabac
#5 Musgo Real
Creams are generally easier to lather and more geared to shaving with DE razors. That's not to say that any of these creams would not do well with a straight razor. I'm used them quite often with a straight razor or the Feather ACD-N razor with excellent results. There is one cream I left out that should have a special note. Kiss My Face unscented shave cream should be a household item. It can be paired up with anything and has saved many a shave due to a poor performing cream or soap. Any of the above matched up with a soap for a "super lather" is just plain decadent. I'm sure this list will change since there are many more creams that I haven't tried.

So many people like it, and the lather looks great but I always seem to end up with some weepers whenever I shave with it. I love the aftershave splash though.

Barc shaving cream, for performance (unscented)

Does anyone make a good mocha shave cream?
Don't know about a Mocha shave cream, I used to have a Chocolate minted creme from SCS (http://www.saintcharlesshave.com/) that was certainly chocolatey....you could ask her to make you one....
You could also check with JoAnna, I don't see it listed at the TSD Store (http://www.theshaveden.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=9) but that doesn't mean she doesn't have it.....:D
Charles at QED (http://www.qedusa.com/) make a Mocha Java shave soap stick, never tried it though I have heard it's nice...
Hope that helps.
Hmmmm....
My podium is:
1 - Musgo Real / Proraso (it's a tie!)
3 - La Toja

My favs at the moment:
La Toja - glad this came in a big tube, I'm lovin' this stuff
Erasmic - (now I know why they made it rhyme with... you know)
Speick - a good change up from the other two (have the soap, AS and Cologne too)
Others still in my occasional rotation:
Proraso (green/red)
AOS Lemon and Sandalwood
Like, but haven't used in quite awhile

Just about any cream from St. Sue at St Charles Shave. In particular I love her Smoke & Beads, Verbena, Very V, Oakmoss & Lavendula, Fairway Rose creams.
Just got a bunch of samples from TSD Store, some TOBS and some TSD. So far I love the TOBS St James and Eton College.
