A fish from the Brasil waters if im not mistaken eaten alot by the people from Surinam and Brasil.

You cook the fish complete with potatoes and alot of Curry. like a stew your throw the fish in. not taking off the scales. you only cut off the moustaches and take out all the insides (intestines etc..etc.)

A Bowl of Rice and fresh green pees .

Its nice but I doubt it you can get this dish anywhere inside the USA
unfortunately I cant send you a sample like I could with shave cream the sample would arrive at your house but you wouldnt wanna open that Jar ! :eek:

Im waiting for some cheap transport system where we can all send each other food samples that will stay good in transit and doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

Catfish are wonderful deep fried, served up with french fries, hush puppies, raw onion and slaw. Not bad smoked on the bar-b-que either.

Check the bottle and see where it is made, if it is local mid western or not, or I could just Google it. :rolleyes:

It was. It was low 70 outside and calm. I sat out on the front porch area listening to the fountain gurgling, smoking a cigar and sipping whiskey. Needed to take a break. :D

Not the same fish but catfish are a way of live down south. People have catfish ponds in their back yards. :D

Every cuppa months or so, 4 neighborhood couples get together for a themed pot luck.
Tonight is "Spanish Night"
Menu includes:

Paella
Marinated mushrooms
Roasted Spicy Almonds
Melon wrapped in Serrano Ham
Grapes wrapped in Blue Cheese and dipped in crushed Pistachios (Prolly has a name but I dont know what it is)
Spanish olives
Machego Cheese
Ibirica Cheese
Almond tart
Sangria and Sherry

Should be a decent evening ;)
