I have a new found appreciation for leathersmiths(is that even a word). My first strop is a two sided leather. On one side is Red Latigo and on the other natural leather. The Red Latigo provides excellent drag and the natural leather is nice and smooth. I was unable to find the right hardware since the store was out at the moment so I improvised with what was available. I used screw in rivets so that the hardware can be replace easily. It was a learning experience since I have never made anything out of leather. I had enough tools at home to do the job but with the right leather, hardware and tools the possiblities are endless.
This one is for my good friend Mike. It is 2" wide and has a 20" stroping surface. I hope he likes it!!
