I have a new found appreciation for leathersmiths(is that even a word). My first strop is a two sided leather. On one side is Red Latigo and on the other natural leather. The Red Latigo provides excellent drag and the natural leather is nice and smooth. I was unable to find the right hardware since the store was out at the moment so I improvised with what was available. I used screw in rivets so that the hardware can be replace easily. It was a learning experience since I have never made anything out of leather. I had enough tools at home to do the job but with the right leather, hardware and tools the possiblities are endless.

This one is for my good friend Mike. It is 2" wide and has a 20" stroping surface. I hope he likes it!!

I like the look ... cool !

We need more people into the straight business the straight business is like a minor % compared even to the DE business and the DE business is a mini business compared to the EVIL GilleTTE ......

Looks very nice. Some beefy hardware there, and a good amount of stropping distance.

Very nicely done. I should get some specifications together and see if any of my manufacturers could make something similar.

Well, I can definately say after my shave this morning that Raf makes a pretty darn nice strop. I'm so used to the shorter manufactured strops that this one is going to take some adjustment for me personally.

This beauty lined up my big W&B and gave a great shave. Good work my friend!
