Made this one for a friend of mine. I tried Lyrt's setup for taking pix (sort of). They're better, but not "there" yet. The scales actually have a very high-gloss CA finish, but it didn't come through in the pictures (the gloss, that is)

Bea-u-ti-ful, Joe. That's a knockout of a razor, my friend!
Oh... Oh... Oh... :bounce015
Good photography and a better razor. I'd add that piece of art to my top ten stable of straights any time. I can't tell you guys how good it makes me feel to see some really good custom work come on the market. There will always be room for quality razors like this in any marketplace.

Joe,
Great razor. I fully concur with Bill's comments; your razors are going to be bought for the quality and artistic characteristics.
As for the photos, Jerry has mentioned using mirrors or paper to reflect light back into the shadow areas. Maybe that would help to reduce the dark areas on the farside of the scales, and get the sheen/gloss of the CA to appear too.
It's gotta be tough to let a beauty like that one go, but at least you know it'll have a good home. :signs107

keep it rocki´n ::
ps
yes you need to play with light more. you will be amazed how good photo´s turn out when the lens gets the right amount of light exposure. you need some clamp lights or office lights and different light bulbs with different intensity of Watts and colour.

DAMN THAT'S HOT!!!! :drool
I did a quick PS on one of the photos. I think you could get good results using a powerful light above your light-box. I’m sorry I’m not contributing a lot lately, I’m kind of busy.
