I use Thayer's Witch Hazel & Aloe Aftershave. The ingredients are as follows:

Natural Witch Hazel Extract and fragrance, Aloe Vera, Purified Water and natural grain alcohol (20% as a preservative).

It's on the expensive side. So, if I was to use the same base ingredients of:

1) Double Distilled Witch Hazel
2) SD 40 Alcohol (20% of total solution)
3) 99.9% Cold Pressed Aloe Vera Gel
4) Purified Water

What would you add to make your own custom aftershave? I'm not sure on the Witch Hazel to Water Ratio but I can play with that. 20% alcohol is probably about as much as I want to go.

RNB AS:

The base for all my concoctions is
2 parts Witch hazel (w/ alcohol) to 1 part Aloe Gel
it gets crazy after that.....:rofl

I like using Avocado oil - its very good for the skin, and will keep your skin "youthful" ;) ( not that you need help with that :D )

Sounds interesting. But um, you know you are never going to get something better than Aqua Velva, right?

(Unless you can craft Musgo Real aftershave, and even then it's debatable).

Ah, man, I'm surrounded by the Velvateers. Sorry, I like that better than Velveeteers. Where's an iron mask to hide myself with when you need one. :D

No one said you could not put Velva in it.

This is true. Then again no one said you couldn't put 12 year old scotch in it either. Velva is quite fine as it is. :D Oops, did I say that? :rofl

Did you just say velva was a good as a 12 y/o scotch? I agree. :rofl

I think this is the right spot.

Tried this one this morning... I must say I liked it. Liked it a LOT.

AOS Sandalwood A/S balm
Mama Bear's Peppermint Summer A/S Milk w/ Extra Menthol
Anherb A/S Gel
(a teeny bit of each)

Ahhhh. Sandalwood. Peppermint. Menthol.

I smelled like a frozen tree, with a candy cane stuck in the center.

ROCK! :D ::git

Musgo Real A/S balm
QED Texas Cedarwood A/S Conditioner
MamaBear's Peppermint A/S Milk w/ Menthol

A little dab o' each, and it was a smell unlike any other! For a short time I was smelling something unique, something different... and then after a few minutes it was gone!

This is one awesome hobby/addiction!! ::

1/4 DeVGH A/S balm
1/4 C&E Nomad A/S balm
1/2 Em's Minty Menthol A/S balm
=
100% :D

It's a balmy kind of day, even though it's summertime. However, the menthol in this balm concoction makes it ok for summer. Plus believe it or not, the scents combine to make something very light and very unique.

Cool!!

The Dutch Camel?

Frozen Whirling Dervish?

I agree. That's a hard one.
