Didn't have time to shower the other day but still needed to shave so I tried something new. I wetted down my badger brush with some HOT water and then just rubbed the hot water on my face. I kept dipping the brush in hot water and then putting it on my face so I got my beard good and wet. Then I lathered up and shaved away. This worked pretty dog gone well I must say.
Just wondering if anyone else has ever tried this.

I have. The hot towel method is a similar concept. No shower required.

Close,
I don't do the wet brush rub, I just shave.
I may try the brush run though.

Same here, I usually get excellent shaves with a hot towel.....but the brush-method is quite interesting.
Thanks for the tip :happy088

Interesting technique. I'm going to try it. It probably feels good as well. Thanks.

Did it.
Felt a little funny but it is a good way to really soak your face in water and get a little scrub on.

As I shower in the evening and shave in the morning I have a different technique: When I soak my brush and warm my scuttle I also rinse my face for a good minute with some hot water and apply Trumpers Skinfood afterwards. Works pretty well too

It actually does feel pretty nice. The hotter the water the better.

This worked well this morning in place of my post-shower hot towel application. Thanks for the tip!
