something Canadian-made called Vert Mousse, it's a very nicely scented shaving soap. I bought 2 pucks of it. 1 for me to play with, and the other to send away to a dear friend of mine.

The Body Shop shave cream sample
I'll be curious to know your opinion on this, I've tried their ASBs and they are very nice, picked up some of their Razor Relief ASB and it is very nice, liked one of the two EDTs I tried (other one just wasn't my kind of scent). Body Shop seems to be a bit of a sleeper in the wet shaving community, but their products so far seem to be winners.

As far as the WoolFat, I found it to be a superlative shave soap, very creamy lather is the end-product. In my book, its special.....but I don't buy shave soaps for their overwhelming or potent scent, but more for their efficacy as a shaving medium. Truth be told, I wouldn't mind if it was UN-scented, its a great soap.

thanks Peter,
Lucky me indeed ! I wasnt shaving with a straight when testing the T&H cream id horror the thoughts of cutting with my Il Vero id not get away so easy with with a DE cut. the Feather is super sharp it will make clean cuts that heal without leaving scars. a straight on the other hand is evil material. the straight cuts so tiny into the skin its not painfull but a very irritant continues STINGY feeling.

About an hour away from me, there's a small town called Putnam CT. Basically, the entire center of town is one big antique shop. I go there from time to time and something usually follows me home. That's where I found my shaving cabinet some of you may recall seeing. Today, I actually went there looking for an ivory or sterling brush to have rebristled. No luck.
I didn't come home empty handed though. Oh no, not ME! I am now the proud owner of not one, not two, but FIVE antique str8 razors!!!!! I've never even held one, much less shaved with one! Hell, I've never even SEEN someone shaving with one! What was I thinking?!!!!! What AM I thinking?!
The pics below are "as purchased". I haven't cleaned them up. I'll try the buffing wheel on the worst one and see how that goes. A couple were really chewed up (the scales anyway), but they were $5 ea and I'd like to try my hand at making new scales. The steel looked pretty good and one of them is engraved. Two others looked virtually new, one $10, the other $20.
My favorite though, is the circa 1865 manufactured by M. Rose & Co, Chelsea MA which has whale bone scales. It was the most expensive of the lot at $45, but it needs only a bit of cleaning and a lick or two with the hone and strop. Speaking of which, I also picked up a very lightly used hone for $10...of course, the price penciled on the box was $0.75, but who knows when that was written?!
NOW what?! This is making me VERY nervous!!!!!!!!!! I'm afraid I'm gonna need a bigger styptic - MUCH bigger!!!! Does Popiel make a home device for giving yourself stitches?! SBAD is bad enough, but THAT'S only money...THIS could be life threatening!!

It is brushless, and it is also NON-Fragranced (I used to use the stuff in college, it actually worked very well for me from what I can remember).
I wouldn't, however, say it doesn't have a scent. It does have a "earthy" smell to it, which I quite enjoyed.
What a great find on those razors. I like the first two the best, but all of them are dandies. Just remember to "push" hair off your face rather than "slice" it off and you'll be ok. :D
